I helped hosting an event for a local fashion designer, Tammy Joe of YO Young Oak which was held on Dec 16, 2014 at Gravity Pope Outlet as a part of Beggars Banquet Holiday Shoppe. It was my absolute pleasure working with a person like Tammy who is very sweet, kind, caring yet talented. My duties were getting the word out on-and-offline to promote the event, inviting people via social media and photographing the event as well as a couple of the pieces from her A/W14 capsule collection. Her collection, which is made with 100% wool, reversible and locally made in Vancouver, was definitely highlight of the night. All the guests were busy trying things on from YO Young Oak while mingling, sipping on a glass of cider or Procecco and munching on hors-d'oeuvre. Overall, it was a very fun night out to meet some talented people; not to mention, it was a perfect opportunity to do my shopping before the holidays with local artisans' goods.
