[Event] Wildfox Couture Vancouver Grand Opening Party Recap
On October 25th, 2014, there was Grand Opening party of Wildfox Couture Vancouver where I was involved from the initial conceptualization to coordination with the owner, Marcus Fraser of High Street Fashion Stores. It was an utmost pleasure working with such a professional like Marcus who has been very successful in fashion business for years in Toronto. Our knowledge and experience combined were harmonized well which resulted in creating amazing synergy effects. He's sourced all the catering companies such as the Marquis and Thierry, props from Renew Gallery; I was in charge of styling models during the live photo shoot, merchandising its store and inviting industry leaders such as fashion bloggers, celebrities and socialites as well as booking a photographer, hair stylist, make-up artist and models.
I booked Benjamin Kwan who is Vancouver's very own, yet not limited to be internationally well-known fashion photographer; Shane Kim for hair styling and Hanna Hong for make-up who are both working under the power house, Urbaneglitz. Shane, who is extremely talented hair stylist, has been working for many fashion shows as a part of La Biosthetique creative team. Hanna is all-round beauty technician who doesn't seem to have any limit with her creativity. As for models, I booked Rachel from Wilhelmina and Lauren from Richards'. Not only are both of them so beautiful but also have got sociable and interactive characteristics which made the event go smoother.

I feel very fortunate to have been able to work with such talented and creative people. It truly was like working with my dream team. I would like to thank everyone who participated to create such an amazing event including Marcus, Benjamin, Shane, Hanna, Rachel, Lauren and Tricia from Wilhelmina and Rya from Richards' for coordinating with me in limited time frame, also all the guests who came despite the heavy rain. This may be the first event hosted by Wildfox Couture Vancouver, but I can assure you it is not going to be the last one!
