Welcome to BEYUNIQUE

BEYUNIQUE IS AN ETHOS OF LIFE, FOUNDED BY LUCY YUN IN 2010. IT IS NOT DERIVED FROM BEY-ONCE, BUT IS CREATED FROM LUCY'S LAST NAME, YUN, COMBINED WITH HER MOTTO OF LIFE TO BE UNIQUE.

About

WHAT IS BEYUNIQUE?

BEYUNIQUE is an ethos of life founded by Lucy Yun. Since she was very young, she has been non-stop searching her soul. Her never-ending journeys continued from personality tests to travelling throughout Europe, Asia, Oceania and North America. One thing was very clear- she always yearned to be herself; not to be swayed by mega trends, brainwashed by mass media, or influenced by celebrities. When she moved to Vancouver in 2010, she created BEYUNIQUE, which means to be YUN (herself) and to BE UNIQUE. A decade has flown by, BEYUNIQUE still stands as a place for Lucy's self-expressionism.

[Outfit] Friday Favourites

Yay it's Friday! How's your week been? It was Thanksgiving week carried on till Monday in Canada which was cool way to get-together and share turkey dinner with family and friends. One of the traditions of Thanksgiving in here, also in the U.S. although they celebrate in different day, is sharing what you are grateful. I have shared what I am grateful this year, click HERE to check it out! This Friday, I would love to share a few favourite things I have been dreaming of: felt hat, cozy cable knit sweater, camel coat, tight-fitted skinny jeans that hug my legs nicely, bucket bag and pointed-toe booties. What outfits you are dreaming of at the moment? Please do share with me! Happy Friday everyone!  xx

Hat: Rag & Bone
Coat: MaxMara
Sweater: Chicwish.com
Jeans: Rag & Bone
Shoes: Blackfive.com

[Trend] Normcore

Normcore: The act of deconstructing fashion by purposely dressing blank or dull.
What once started as a post-ironic anti-fashion, "purposely uncool" trend by hipsters
in an attempt to pull away from the subculture fashion that were becoming commercialized
and popular, norm core is quickly becoming a legitimate fashion trend. Characterized by boxy,
unflattering jean jackets, oversized sweatshirts, gift shop baseball hats. - Urban Dictitionary

This is my take on Normcore which is the most obvious trend last summer and still going
strong in the fall season... A black Nike sleeveless top over a white mesh zip-up jacket,
distressed denim skirt, Kara backpack and vintage sunglasses with snow-white kicks.

[Outfit] 2014 Fall Fashion Guide

Top: Mango
Trouser: Chloe
Hat: Rag & Bone
Booties: Jeffrey Campbell
Backpack: Nastygal

Here's a quick fall fashion guide for you: what to buy, keep and store. This fall, red + green plaid can be stored in your closet as grid-checkered is ruling over the fashion world. But don't throw away your plaid just yet, as it is a staple item that will make a comeback in upcoming season. Androgyny is a huge trend as seen how big wide-legged culottes were in the summer. Cropped pants are going to take over its popularity. Be mindful when it comes to buying a pair of cropped trousers, the cut is everything. Make sure they are cut just above your ankle. As for accessories, it's all about luxe-feeling. Invest your budget on high quality felt hat. There are so many on-and-offline retailers selling it right now, though, it should take a while to find a perfect hat that compliments your figure. I would recommend to try it on before buying and then choose shape and colour wisely that fits you the best. Also, eye-catching yet made-for-walking leather booties are a must. At last but not least, backpack or bucket bag is to buy if you don't have any. Follow all the steps? You are all set to rock your outfit this fall! Happy fall everyone!! Xx
