Welcome to BEYUNIQUE

BEYUNIQUE IS AN ETHOS OF LIFE, FOUNDED BY LUCY YUN IN 2010. IT IS NOT DERIVED FROM BEY-ONCE, BUT IS CREATED FROM LUCY'S LAST NAME, YUN, COMBINED WITH HER MOTTO OF LIFE TO BE UNIQUE.

About

WHAT IS BEYUNIQUE?

BEYUNIQUE is an ethos of life founded by Lucy Yun. Since she was very young, she has been non-stop searching her soul. Her never-ending journeys continued from personality tests to travelling throughout Europe, Asia, Oceania and North America. One thing was very clear- she always yearned to be herself; not to be swayed by mega trends, brainwashed by mass media, or influenced by celebrities. When she moved to Vancouver in 2010, she created BEYUNIQUE, which means to be YUN (herself) and to BE UNIQUE. A decade has flown by, BEYUNIQUE still stands as a place for Lucy's self-expressionism.

Lucy is fantastic to work with - she is a visionary who is full of creative ideas and a quick mind (and hands) to get the work done in a timely fashion! We loved her so much as our graphic designer on a project that offered her to work work with us in-house as a Creative and Marketing Lead. We would highly recommend Lucy for her gorgeous design sense, efficiency, and professionalism. Did I mention she is super fun and sweet too?! Thank you Lucy for bringing our creative projects to fruition.

[Collage] Cozy Chic

Although it's breaking the hottest and warmest September in 100-something years, I am looking forward to the autumn as it's my favourite season in terms of dressing up. I'm very into nude palettes from beige to light grey for this 2012 fall. Over-sized outerwear with fitted yet stretchy leggings are great to show you're cozy yet chic.

[New In] Acid Orange Studded Bracelet

Today is going to be remembered as one of the happiest days in my life. Thus, I gifted this acid-orange leather bracelet with studded metals to myself to reward and remember the patience and endurance of the past. Let's live to the fullest!

[Model] Vancouver's Very Own, Amy from Lizbell Agency at Jeremy Laing

Vancouver's very own, Amy Groves from Lizbell Agency modeled for Jeremy Laing 2013 Spring/Summer Ready-to-Wear collection at New York Fashion Week. She has already got picked up by big brands including Aritzia in Vancouver, and now she is making her way out to bigger fashion scenes like New York. I cast and fitted her for a fashion show and remember she was such a sweetheart! So glad that she is doing well making her successful career. Is she going to be the next Coco Rocha who also grew up in Vancouver and became one of the top models? I would like to see that coming.

[Collection] 4 Favorite Looks at Karen Walker 2013 Spring/Summer

Karen Walker Spring/Summer 2013 Collection has shown its retro-chic inspired by 50s fashion modernized with polka-dots and horse-riding style raffia hats. It immediately reminds me of Susie Lau, as known as Susie Bubble, who's one of mix-and-match masters. It was a wearable collection filled with lots of styling ideas about how to mix and match prints.

[Collection] Dries Van Noten 2012 Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear at Paris Fashion Week

Dries Van Noten got influenced by three Asian countries for its 2012 Fall/Winter Ready-to-Wear Collection at Paris Fashion Week: Korea, Japan and China. By extracting architectural elements from each country, Dries Van Noten initiated unseen, unprecedented yet one-of-a-kind prints incorporated with rich-textured and toned-down fabrics that were not overwhelming as the most of clothes got structured, tailored and minimal silhouettes. Which is why Dries Van Noten's collection is the utmost anticipated fashion show at the upcoming 2013 Spring/Summer Paris Fashion Week.
